Our Specialities

KwilaOne of NZs most popular choices for decking. Kwila is a dark coloured hardwood hailing from Papua New Guinea. This wood is very durable, expands, / shrinks little in varying temperatures adn has wonderful grainy features to add a more natural look to your deck.

GarapaGarapa is another hardwood like Kwila, but is much lighter in colour, making it more suitable for dekcs in sundrenched locations as it does not get as hot to touch. Native to Brazil, this timber is natrually scratch resistant and slip proof.

RadiataRatiata Pine is the most common timber in NZ, used for near endless purposes. Its no surprise then that it also makes for a cost effective decking option, is the most commonly used decking timber in the country and the most sustainable option. It has a very light brown/beige colour.

CompositeComposite decks are a mixture of recycled wood and recycled plastic, and are a good option for those looking for a unique colour or texture or those not wanting to spend a lot of time maintaining their deck. The nature of the material means it doesn't rot or crack in the sun, is slip proof and doesn't fade in colour.

RedwoodRedwood refers to a variety of species, such as Californian Redwood and Japanese Redwood, but all display a rich red hue and are naturally strong and long lasting - a well maintained redwood deck can last 30 years or more. The wood is naturally resistant to wood boring insects, but will fade to a silver grey in the sun if left untreated.

MacrocarpaFrom the Cypress family, this foreign tree has become widespread throughout NZ due to its versatility, colour and texture. This softwood is often used for planter boxes, sculptures and outside furniture, it is also sustainably sourced and requires minimal production processes.
